A lesbian is a homosexual woman,[1] defined by her exclusively same-sex sexual and romantic attraction. According to a 2016 report released by the United States CDC National Center for Health Statistics, 1.3% of women aged 18-44 stated they were "homosexual, gay, or lesbian."[2] In the United Kingdom, the Office for National Statistics in 2017 reported that 0.9% of women aged 16 or older identified as gay or lesbian.[3]
